Adam Lenz - Head of Sustainability & Environment at Waymo
Adam Lenz is the Head of Sustainability & Environment for Waymo, an autonomous driving technology company. Waymo’s mission is to make it safe and easy for people and things to get around — without the need for anyone in the driver’s seat. Waymo’s sustainability efforts aim to connect more communities with the benefits of EVs through autonomous shared mobility.
Before joining Waymo, Adam served in the public sector at the City of Richmond, California, where he led clean energy programs and infrastructure, open data and smart city initiatives, solid waste management, air monitoring, and climate planning. Adam’s career spans working as a Consultant with Environmental Science Associates with a focus on carbon emissions and local government climate programs, and as a Chemist with US Ecology (formerly NRC Environmental Services).
Adam has a B.S in Chemistry and a B.A. in Economics from Ohio University. He lives in Oakland, California with his wife and son.
